Alright, alright. No parades, no parties, no streamers. None of that crap. Let's get to business and welcome to the Junk Blog. I'm your writer/host/what-not Henchmeister (known officially as Chris Henchey...but that's not important right now).
So, many of you are wondering why the hell is this guy of all people making a blog? Well, I don't know why. But, there will be a good deal to talk about: trains, sports, photography, baseball cards. So it's like a pseudo train-photo-card-sports-anythingelsethatcomestomind blog.
And, I'll kick things off with the a lens review. I came into possession of a new Tamron 10-24mm lens yesterday and I've go to say I'm very impressed. My only complaint is that it sticks when I try to remove it when changing lenses. Other than that, I the shot I took today was very crisp and not fuzzy. And, the price can't be beat. If you have something like a Nikon D60 (my choice), D40 or other models that have an exterior auto-manual focus tab on the lens, you can buy one for 500 bucks. Of course, this is no professional review, but it's just my 2 cents. I give a thumbs up.
In other news on this Memorial Day, I will be doing a my first box break next week. I just bought off eBay a box of 2002 Topps Series 1 Baseball for 25 bucks and I'll be receiving it in the mail in 7-8 days, or so they say. Ahhhh, memories of my earlier childhood! But, more on that later. Also, if you're near TV, check out the Stanley Cup, Hawks-Flyers. Damn good game there.
